How can I help?
I can offer the right conditions for you to explore concerns from a different perspective and develop an understanding of the incongruence you might be experiencing.
Are you a registered counsellor?
I am a registered member of the BACP. This means I work in a strict accordance to their ethical framework. As well as belonging to a professional body I also participate in a minimum of thirty hours of CPD each year.
How long are the sessions and what is the cost?
A counselling session lasts for 1 hour for individual and couples.
Costs:
- Individual Counselling: £40 per session
- Couples £60 per session
- Student Counsellors: £30 per session (concession rates require student ID)
- Supervision: £45 (60 minutes), £60 (90 minutes) - concessions rates for students
Please feel free to ask for further details.
Clients are encouraged to pay at the start of each session although block booking of sessions is also available.
What is counselling?
What sort of things are talked about in sessions? The session is completely yours, so it's your choice what you want to talk about. It's where you can courageously face your fears, talk about relationship difficulties, health issues, bereavement, abuse, depression, anxiety, work concerns, parental / child issues or anything painful that you feel the need to release.
What is Supervision?
In accordance with the BACP ethical framework I have monthly supervision with a qualified supervisor. In supervision I discuss my client case load and in return I get support and guidance to make sure i'm working safely and ethically, and to ensure that I am always providing an excellent quality of service to my clients.
Can I cancel a session once booked?
Yes, you can cancel a session, although I would appreciate at least 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur a charge, which will be asked for at the next session. This is because the room I use for our sessions is hired per session and I will still be charged for use of the room in the event of a client who does not show.
